Caretaker Description
A Domestic Caretaker has broad responsibility for maintaining both the interior and exterior of a residence. Caretakers generally have the following responsibilities: doing gardening, painting the house and other structures on the property, performing carpentry, doing basic plumbing, overseeing contractors working on the home, and making sure that required annual repairs are completed.
Additional Caretaker duties also include maintaining and repairing automobiles and equipment used for home care (e.g., lawnmowers, leaf blowers, trimmers, snow blowers, etc.). It is common for caretakers to be either live-in or live-out.
A Domestic Caretaker’s salary depends on your particular job requirements; the type and scope of the groundskeeping work to be performed; and benefits, perks, and other forms of compensation provided.
