Personal Assistant Description

A Personal Assistant (also known as a Family Assistant, Social Secretary, or Executive Assistant) is responsible for keeping up with the social and professional demands of his or her Employer. Personality fit is particularly critical for the Personal Assistant position, as the role involves more of a one-on-one relationship with the Employer than many other domestic staffing positions.

A Personal Assistant’s core responsibilities include keeping track of his or her Employer’s family agenda, arranging for reservations for various events, making travel arrangements, planning events, tending to the needs of guests, purchasing gifts and other items, performing some secretarial duties, and running errands.

Salary for a Personal Assistant depends on your location, the particular job requirements, and the experience level of the PA Candidate. Benefits, perks, and other forms of compensation provided by the Employer also affect salary requirements.
